Rob and Christina Seever

Missionaries to the Philippines.

Here is the story as I have it now:

Rob spent the last six months or so recovering from his motorcycle accident in the Philippines. He finally graduated from a walker to using just a cane a few weeks ago. The recovery process had slowed him down considerably and, although seemingly in good spirits, he had not recovered his outgoing personality we had known in the past. Since he was slowly recovering we all thought it was only a matter of time until the Rob we all knew would reemerge. He even talked about opening another restaurant! He seemed to get through the usual fall cold season OK, and when Christina's daughter in Hawaii wanted her to spend the Christmas season there Rob stayed behind since the travel would likely be too much for him. He seemed to be handling her absence OK, showing up in church November 24th by himself although unshaven. Bonita talked with him and he said he was too tired to shave. She said he didn't look well. Rob didn't show up for church December 1st and the Seever's friend Anita said she took him some soup that afternoon. Rob had been calling and talking to Christina and the family each evening. Anita called on Tuesday and got no answer. She went to the apartment and got no response to the door. She got the manager and they discovered Rob had died in bed during sleep. It appears he went peacefully into the presence of the Lord. At this point I think he passed on Tuesday the 3rd of December but we have not yet heard anything official concerning reason for or time of death.
